Synopsis:
The story revolves around two clans in the Loess Plateau - the Songs and the Yims. The Yim clan is lead by Yim Man Hei, a tyrannical leader but is secretly deaf. Meanwhile, the Song clan is headed by Chiu Yuk, who took over when her husband (former clan elder) passed away. Among the conflicts between two clans, lay the romance of Song Dong Seng and Ka Chun Fan as well as the love triangle between Yim Man Hei, Kai Meng Fung and Chiu Yuk.
PhoEnix's Comments:
Most of the actors and actresses were from War and Beauty so the comparison between the two dramas is inevitable. This series seems to be on the losing side, considering that audiences unable to relate well to the characters due to the settings and storyline. Independently, it's still a worthy watch.
