Synopsis:
The story centres around the conflict between two families, the Fongs and the Dings. The Fong family used to be wealthy but due to misunderstandings, Fong Chun San (a stockbroker) is accidentally killed by Ding Hai, leaving behind one son and three daughters in the care of his love interest, Lo Wai Ling. Ling gives up her study and raises the children as her own by working as a bus driver.

Meanwhile, after killing Chun Sang, Ding Hai fleas to Taiwan and is prisonized there for years. His four sons join the triad as there's no one to guide them and they started to become powerful.
Somehow, fate brought the two families again. Fong's second daughter (Fong Ting) fell in love with Ding's eldest son (Ding Hau Hai). The return of Ding Hai to Hong Kong creates chaos to the Fong family. Finally, war breaks out between them and Fong family is badly hurt by the Dings. The only survivor, Fong Chin Pok, swore to take revenge on the Dings in the area of his and his father's expertise, the stock market.

PhoEnix's Comments:
When it was released in 1993, it immediately became a hit. The show was surrounded with controversies as the plot was rather extreme at that time. The scenes which involved the Dings throwing the Fong sisters down to death and the Dings jumped off from the building were considered overboard. It was also said to impact the stock market (known as the Ding Hai effect).

I love this drama till now as it's spectacular. Strongly recommended though it might look outdated now.
